Human Factors and Situational Awareness
The Safety Management Group’s annual Safety Theme Day entitled “Human Factors and Situational Awareness” will take place on Wednesday 31 May 2017 in Brussels.
This year’s event will address the role of human behavior in safety incidents and share practical approaches to implement improvements in situational awareness.
Details are being worked but the guest speakers are shaping up to include:
- Professor Rhona Flin, a psychologist conducting research on human performance in high risk industries
- Pekka Erkama, an ex pilot and human factor consultant optimising human performance and managing human errors
- Simon Monnington, a chartered human factors specialist and human factor advisor at BP.
As in previous years, the Theme Day promises opportunity for maximum interaction with speakers and participants to share their own experiences in a field that can facilitate further improvements in personal and process safety performance.
This event is open to the members of the Safety Management Group and their company colleagues.
